Confronting new frontiers in security

Secured Premise Intruder Detection

A highly classified premise is first covered with compound-wide continuous radio signals. All personnel with authorised movement within the premise are then identified and their unique radio gait IDs captured in a database. Any intruder with an unknown radio gait ID detected within the premise will trigger an alarm and the intruder’s location tracked down.

Immigrations / Customs Gait ID Database

There is an increasing trend for countries to move towards a fully automated immigrations / customs checkpoint system using AI to improve efficiency and reduce human errors. In addition to the use of fingerprints, facial and iris scans, a database of travellers’ gait IDs can be created to enhance border security and prevent criminals or terrorists from using innovative techniques to evade existing security mechanisms. The Gait ID Database can be used to identify individuals entering the airports and their respective locations, as well as check if it is the same persons entering and leaving the airport and transiting the border and monitor their movements. Law enforcement agencies can also use the Gait ID Database to identify targets who have used fake documentations or disguised appearances upon entering the country.

Suspect Identification

When a human target is in motion, it is possible to use mathematical modelling to create his/her unique radio Gait ID and patterns. Radio signals can penetrate through walls and help “visualise” suspects in an enclosed room. If a suspect is known to be in a built-up area, a tactical unit can be used to propagate radio signals (using existing radio networks or by building a 6-directional antennae) to try and find a match with the target’s unique radio gait ID in order to locate the suspect. For law enforcement tactical units, this can come as a handy, compact backpack-sized solution.

Public Events Security

Our human gait identification system can be used to track crowd movements at sports events and exhibitions or to trace footfall for better crowd management in shopping malls. Exhibition organisers can also enable visitor profiles with unique radio gait IDs matching to provide tracking of VIP guests. This is a less intrusive method of tracking visitors’ movements and locations with no need for the use of video surveillance.
